What production it suits
A box type oven works in batches: parts are loaded by hand and unloaded when the cycle ends. It is the right choice for workshops with a limited daily part count but a wide part variety — each cycle can run a different part with a different curing profile. Because 16 curing profiles are stored in the controller, the operator does not search for settings every time. If continuous flow is required, that is, parts move along a line without stopping, a top-loading or tunnel oven takes over; the box type becomes the bottleneck there.
How the size is set
Internal volume is not picked from a catalogue. It is calculated from the largest part you will coat, plus hanging allowance and the clearance needed for air circulation. That clearance is not generosity: hot air moved by fan convection must reach every surface of the part, otherwise the rear face cures incompletely. An oversized oven burns extra energy in every cycle; an undersized one cannot fit the part and permanently limits capacity. Why temperature stability matters
Powder does not cure by temperature alone but by temperature and time held together. The oven works between 80 and 250 °C and holds ±3 °C uniformity with PID control. What that figure means in practice: the temperature difference between two parts in the same cycle never exceeds three degrees. In an oven that swings across a wide band, some parts under-cure at the bottom of the band while others yellow at the top — and the defect is only visible after the oven.
Body, insulation and maintenance
The inner body is AISI 304 stainless steel; rust and dirt shedding from a surface that oxidises at high temperature land on the curing wet film and become a defect directly. Insulation is 10 cm mineral wool: it shortens heat-up, stops the elements running continuously in steady state and reduces outer skin temperature. Routine maintenance is light — fan and element checks, the door seal, and an annual heat distribution check. The product carries a 2-year manufacturer warranty.

Three pieces of information speed up the price: the dimensions of the largest part you will coat (width x length x height), how many cycles a day you plan to run, and your current contracted electrical capacity. The third is the most often skipped: the oven is built between 3 and 150 kW, and if your contract does not cover it, a capacity upgrade, switchgear and possibly a transformer come into play — an item that sometimes costs more than the oven itself. With these three we can size both the volume and a realistic total cost.
